THE WATER SPORTS CENTRE

Situated at the water’s edge, the water sports centre, awarded the “FANATIC Boarders Centre” label, is quite possibly the best spot in Martinique offering an exceptional stretch of water and regular alizé winds. The centre offers equipment of excellent quality, whether you are a beginner, advanced, or professional, there is always a board, rig and other equipment adapted to your level of expertise. Our qualified instructors are committed to offering you the best advice and tips to help you progress while having fun. So why not…take to your boards !

KITE SURFING
|
Damien over sees the kite surfing school at the Martinique windsurfing club, and will be happy to instruct you, whatever your level of expertise. The centre uses North 2010 equipment, only the best for our guests !
Those who have their own equipment and do not require instruction must perfectly master the depart procedures as the slipway is very narrow. Alternatively, for a small fee, staff can take you out into the water on a little boat.

WINDSURFING
|
The Martinique Windsurfing Club is situated among the coconut trees. The centre is equipped with 20 Fanatic 2010 range floats and North rigs. Guillaume and his team are at your service to advise and instruct you at the windiest part of the island. Windsurfing lessons (initiation and perfecting).
The alizé puts in an appearance around mid-December and is a regular occurrence throughout January and February and up to springtime. Statistics show that the alizé peaks again in June.

A DAY TRIP ON A CATAMARAN
|
Set sail, on the Aventurier, our 23m x 10m MAXI CATAMARAN, to discover the most beautiful sites in Martinique and Ste Lucia...
Exit ‘’Anse Coralliennes’’: departure at 9am from the Hotel pontoon, return around 5pm
After a super sail moor facing one of the prettiest villages of the coast the Bourg of Anses d'Arlet. Swimming, snorkelling (equipment supplied), a village visit, and a trip to the beach. An afternoon’s swimming at the Anse Noire (black sand), Anse Dufour (white sand), then discover the Grotte du Diable (devil’s cave). Ti-punch cocktails and lobster/crayfish lunches are served aboard.
Exit “Sud turquoise”: departure at 8.30am from the hotel pontoon, return around 5pm
Sail towards the Pointe du Marin to swim in turquoise waters and visit Sainte-Anne village and shops. A wonderful day with lunch aboard. Depart for Anse Prunes (Petites Salines), Swimming, Snorkeling (flipper, masks and snorkels provided). Return all sails out, passing by the famous Diamont rock.
Exit“St Pierre”: depart at 8am from the hotel pontoon, return around 6pm
Direction the north of the Caribbean, sail the length of the magnificent beach situated at Carbet discovered by Christopher Columbus, then on to St Pierre with a superb view over the mountain. A day of relaxation and discovery: meal, swimming, etc. Visit the village which was the capital of the island before its destruction in 1902: take a wander through the ruins and colourful market. Then in the afternoon sail on to Anse Noir and discover La Grotte du Diable (Devil’s rock) and maybe even swim with a turtle. Return to the hotel.
Exit “Sainte Lucia”: departure at 7am from the pontoon of the hotel, return around 6pm
After a wonderful sail, visit the Castries market then enjoy a mini-bus excursion with guide to the famous Marigot bay. Dine aboard the catamaran in the middle of the Caribbean. Take a dip at Rodney Bay beach. Return to see the sun set. A relaxing, unforgettable day.

The Pointe du Bout Carayou Hotel & Spa deep sea diving club in Martinique, allows you to discover the Caribbean coral sea bed. The centre is open to all. Instructors speak both French and English.
